A Shark’s Tale
Sharks
When the children returned to school, they were keen to talk about sharks. They were excited to watch film clips about the Hammerhead and Great White sharks and learned lots of facts about them.
Did you know that a shark has seven rows of teeth which can be as many as three hundred teeth in total? When a shark loses a tooth, another takes its place.
We learned that sharks have gills for breathing and that their skeleton is cartilage rather than bone.
The children have also enjoyed reading the story, ‘Shark in the Dark’ and are beginning to find out about other sea creatures they have discovered.
